This past weekend, or actually the one before, I had the distinct privilege of co-DJ-ing on the podcast The Vinyl Loft. The Vinyl loft is the premiere vinyl-centric podcast in our bio-reigon. Chris kindly invited me over instagram, and I enthusiastically accepted. It’s not every day I get to share the music I love so dearly with a sizable audience–I usually just dole it to out one person at a time– so I jumped at the chance. Chris creates a diverse and beautifully curated podcast. It’s well populated with classics from genres I am fond of, and it has all the pops and crackles that a proper record ought to have. It was exciting to hear what I’d brought nestled in among gems from the past, and I was thrilled at how well it all fit. We had more in common musically than I’d realized, and hilariously, my friend Dave Williams had co hosted a month earlier and I never even knew. It was just a great time, and well worth a listen. I consider it a great introduction–possibly the best I’ve heard–to the music of the Upper Valley.
